Over the years, the hotel has been periodically updated and improved, always with classic style, maintaining its own personal identity that helps our guests feel like home.

The hotel offers 145 rooms with air conditioning, heating, telephone line with voice mail, complete bathroom with hair dryer, bathrobe and slippers, safe-deposit box, mini bar and high resolution interactive TV with DVD player as well as high speed Internet access.

Food & beverage

The hotel’s own on-site restaurant, Carabela, offers an à la carte menu of authentic local specialities from the region, as well as traditional Spanish dishes prepared with an innovative and creative touch. The menu changes regularly to reflect the best and freshest locally grown produce, sourced from nearby markets.

The chef’s specialities include: pickled partridge with tolosa beans, cream of pumpkin soup with black Botifarra sausage, roasted pork and cuttlefish, deer-loin fillets in a ragout of chestnuts, young garlic and cep and death trumpet mushrooms and monkfish with artichokes, wild asparagus and crayfish.

The restaurant also offers tasting menus, consisting of a selection of the best specialities on offer in the restaurant.

The restaurant is open from 13:00 to 15:30 and from 08:00 to 23:00.

Area information

The hotel is situated in the Gothic quarter, right in front of the Cathedral, and surrounded by a pedestrian area, within easy walking distance of main tourist attractions, museums and commercial areas. A pleasant stroll will take you to places like Las Ramblas, the Picasso Museum or Portal de l'Àngel street. We also recommend you to explore the area without any destination. You will find yourself discovering small streets and hidden squares.

Travel information

Metro: Jaume I station. Line 4 (yellow). “Plaça de l’Angel” exit. Take Via Layetana all the way up until you find Plaça Francesc Cambó (2 minutes). The Cathedral will be on your left, which is right across from the hotel.
Urban bus lines: 17, 45, 40, 19. They all stop in Via Laietana, right by the Hotel.
From the airport there are several choices to get to the Hotel:
Bus: The “aerobus” has a stop in each terminal. It will take you to Plaça Catalunya. From there you must take Portal de L’Angel Street, a pedestrian street that will take you straight to the Cathedral. You will find the hotel right in front. It takes 40-45 minutes (depending on traffic) and it costs 3,75 euros.
Train: The train station is situated past the A terminal. You must descend on “Passeig de Gràcia” and take the metro until Jaume I station (itinerary described above). It also takes 40-45 minutes and it costs about 3 euros.
Taxi: It will take you straight to the hotel. It takes about 25 minutes (always depending on traffic) and it costs around 25 euros.
